Custom BLINK Marvel Legends

Hey all a mini update, we are going to be listing a figure a day this week (July 12 onward). We are going to be offering 3 ladies and 2 men.

The first lady up for auction on eBay is Blink! I originally had her up last week, while we were selling a cosplay Deadpool bomb. But I was unhappy with her, so I took her down and did some fixing.

She is now 10x sexier than before.

We’ve got some great new figures this week. Two from the Marvel Universe: Legends styled X-Man and a recreation of the prototype for Terror Inc.

And, we also have an OOAK Masters of the Universe Classics Imp! Yes, that little blue devil that Hordak loves so much! I am so happy with his results, I’m pretty tempted to save him for myself and pose him with Hordak!

We have some awesome news for everyone.... JRS Toys will now be in store at One Million Comix in the coming weeks! Yes, that’s right – Ryan will be in store at One Million Comix 3 times a week.

We’ll have a selection of figures on display, and for purchase. Ryan will also be on site to talk shop – and take your requests! So don’t be shy and come visit us!

One Million Comix is located on Yonge Street, just south of Wellseley subway station.

I'm a big fan of the off ball comic titles Marvel sometimes produces i.e.Fairy tales, Zombies, and the period drama pieces. I found a really close up shot of Namor from Fantastick Four: 1602 and asked Ryan if he had the means to put him together. He sure did, and thus Numenor, Emperor of Bensaylum was born.

Continuing with our Asgard family line, we thought creating Loki would be appropriate. We really like the version presented in Hulk vs. Thor. Odin, so we went along with that design alerting a few things of course. Our God of Mischief is an ultra-poseable figure with some 32 points of articulation and the cape is removable.

Next up, another prototype brought to life. This time we took from Hasbro and their joint contest with ToyFair for "Fan Choice". As we all know, the chosen figure was Sunfire, and they did a bang up job! But we loved Gambit in his X-Men duds we just had to make him. Gambit is an ultra pose-able figure with some 30 points of articulation and stands 6 inches tall, he comes with batton pictured.

We came across a Dreamcast system, so Ryan purchased MvsC 1 & 2 and has been loving playing old school for a bit. I guess he feel in love with it so much, he wanted to make a few of the characters for our display case.

Morph is a favorite of ours, (see our previous figure with alternative heads), I think his crackly laugh is probably most prominent from the X-Men cartoon of the 90's.

So anyway, we were always jealous of this Toyfare Exclusive was released and decided that since we finally had all the right elements we'd update it. So what we have for you is one AOA Morph, ultra pose-able figure with some 36 points of articulation and stands 6 1/2 inches tall.

We at JRS Toys got pretty excited when those Toy Biz prototypes started circulating… and one figure that struck us was definitely Crimson Dynamo! We are so surprised that Hasbro didn’t
jump on the bandwagon for some of the “movie/prototype” figure from the Iron Man line (since they did debut him in a Super Hero Squad). So anyway, we decided that there was no better way than
to make it ourselves!

So what we have for you is one Crimson Dynamo, ultra pose-able figure with some 30 points of articulation and stands 6 inches tall, his head is a custom sculpt to make it look as "comic" authentic
as possible. We apologize for the less than perfect photos, our camera battery started to die 6 photos in.

Since we got some great feedback from our X-Force/Externals line, we have decided to continue with another revamped figure. Quark is ultra poseable with 28 points of articulation and stands 8 inches tall, his belt and holster are made from real materials to make it as realistic looking as possible.

Gideon was apart of the Externals, and extraordinary business strategist. He often clashed with Krule, and sent the assign to capture, fellow External Cannonball. He tried hostle take overs on Genetech and the Taylor Foundation, and was also offered a postion with HYDRA, but refused. In the final battle of the Externals he too was killed by the energy vampire Selene.

This is an JRS exclusive X-Force/Externals related figure, and depending upon the feedback received we may continue the line. He has been hand painted with extreme care, and retains all 34 original points of articulation + shrunken heads.

Krule, or Crule was apart of the Externals High Lords, and was considered one of the meanest and maddest. He later joined X-Force after being abducted by them, to spite his old teams mates. In a final battle of the Externals he was defeated and killed by Selene. He also had a long going feud with Cannonball.

I dunno how many ppl actually have the real ML Toad figure... but let me tell you... it's kinda disappointing. It was from Series 1, so the credit is given and all is forgiven that he only had 10 points of articulation.

I made this redo based on the ML colors & costume, and I even painted & sculpted him while watching WWE.

Are you guys surprised?! A second figure today... I really hope you lie him, he was a blast to make... and brought up alot of memories... like this one:

"IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!"

The Green Ranger stands 8.5 inches tall, and boasts 17 points of articulation, modified paint job to simulate the suit worn on the show, removable breast plate, and custom Dragon Dagger. (I'll update this later, the paint is literally still drying on it!)

When NECA put the original turtles out, I think we screamed with joy -- not out loud or anything. But you get our point! We were especially happy that they were fully articulated!! We knew they would get to that eventually.

This was an original concept character by the new owner. It is our understanding that he and his brother are graphic artists. We've already got some great positive feedback from the WIP photos... can't wait until he has him in hand to review.

Hasbro never really did this figure justice when they released it on the Spiderman Origins line. And the Toybiz Marvel Select never had *any* articulation!

However, one of our customizing faves Boskoes, created this -- but my problem was the yellow they used looked *way* to green. So, using the same base figure, popping off the non articulated arms and legs... this is our version. Fully articulated and GOLD!

Now it looks like it's right off the pages of Civil War.

Busy weekend at JRS

Just wanted to throw a quick post up... for anyone wondering why production almost slowed to a hault in the last 3 months, here is a little explaination. My eyes were straining very quickly while scultping, painting and while at my day job... so I took myself to the eye doctor. Wasn't that grown up of me? (My mom didn't even have to nag me over the phone to do so). As you can imagine... I need reading glasses. So, It's nice to be back up and running, I felt like such an old goat not being able to concentrate!

With that said, we have lots of busy plans this weekend. I've got the final two eBay "choose your own custom action figure" auction winners to post. Very excited to photograph them and mail them to their new owners. Their final matte finish is drying as I type this... should have them posted tomorrow afternoon.

And... *drum roll please*

We are hoping to reveal our first complete line this weekend.
